FAQ

Good to know:

In order to apply for an individual telephone number from the Federal Network Agency, a complete application for the allocation of an 0800 telephone number must be submitted. In addition, a certificate of legality in the form of an excerpt from the company register, a business registration or a register of associations is required. It's easier and quicker with our help.

The allottee is considered the owner of the 0800 number assigned by the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA). You can therefore dispose of the 0800 numbers allocated to you. If you use an immediately available 0800 number from our number pool, it can be transferred to your company after 89 days of use at the Federal Network Agency.

You can apply for a specific number from the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) or have any 0800 number allocated to you. Allocation takes approx. 2 weeks. This 0800 number will be assigned to you directly by the Federal Network Agency. The allocation fee is currently 25.00 euros, which will be charged to you directly by the BNetzA.

A call to an 0800 number is always free of charge for the caller: The call costs are borne by the called party. The cost of the call depends on how long the call lasts and from which network (e.g. landline, cell phone) the call was made.

You can easily forward the 0800 number to any of our telephone numbers or SIP trunks. Additional rules can also be defined, such as origin or time-dependent routing. For example, you can forward callers from Frankfurt to your Frankfurt service center or adapt the routing to your business hours. First Telecom will be happy to support you in setting up the optimum caller routing for you.

0800 numbers are generally free of charge for the caller because the company called bears the costs for the call. As with all other service numbers, the 0800 number can be used in addition to any telephone connection, so the service number contract does not include the actual telephone connection. You can easily forward 0800 calls to any telephone numbers or SIP trunks. Please tell us the relevant telephone number or IP address to which the 0800 calls are to be forwarded. You can also forward the calls to completely different connections according to the corresponding specifications, e.g. calls to different destination numbers depending on the time of day or the caller's area code. If you want to move, you can keep the 0800 number and forward it to the new lines.

With the 0800 number, you as the provider bear the call costs for your callers. The costs therefore depend on how long the call takes and from which network (e.g. landline, cell phone) the call is made.

You can easily have your 0800 number redirected to an existing telephone line or SIP trunk. You need a telephone line or SIP trunk, but do not have to switch a new telephone line for 0800. With the routing options, you can even redirect your telephone number to different telephone numbers depending on the time or location of the caller.

A German 0800 number can only be reached from the German telephone network. Calls from abroad cannot usually be connected. If you need a free hotline in another country, please contact us. We offer 0800 numbers for many other countries.

In addition to the classic dialing of your 0800 service number from the fixed or mobile network, your customer can reach you directly via your website without media discontinuity. The click in the browser establishes a VoIP connection to the same routing plan or connection that you have stored with First Telecom for fixed and mobile networks. Simply order this function with your 0800 and test it here:
